Albin Lee Meldau

Time to write a big ”ALM” on Wednesday July 2, when Albin Lee Meldau will create some summer evening magic at the Solgården stage on Hotel Tylösand.

You've heard him all over the radio this autumn, with the Per Gessle duet ”Nyper mig i armen” as well as tracks like ”Forget About Us”, ”When You’re Here” and ”Elvis, I Love You” from his latest solo album ”Discomforts”.

It wasn't a straight way to the top, however. As a 20-year old in 2008 he went for the stars in the TV4 show ”Idol”, but never made it to audition. And neither did the big break come for soul band The Magnolia, where he was one of the singers.

But in 2016 he went solo with his debut EP ”Lovers”, where the song "Lou Lou" became a massive hit with more than 10 million streams on Spotify.

Since then, Albin Lees melancholic and expressive voice has captured a fast growing number of fans – not least after his performances in the massively popular TV4 show ”Så mycket bättre” in both 2018 and 2022.

In 2019, he also was won the "audience favourite artist" category during the EU music award ”Music Moves Europe” ceremony, proving that his music has reached an international audience as well.

He will probably be a contender for that title at Solgården this summer as well. See you in front of the stage!
